Crusher Run Stone - Sold By The Ton

Crusher run is a mix of crushed stone and stone dust/screenings that compacts tightly to form a solid, stable surface. It's one of the most widely used materials for driveway bases, walkways, and patio foundations, thanks to the way its range of particle sizes locks together under compaction to create a firm, durable surface that resists shifting and rutting.

Applications:

  • Driveway Base: Build a solid, load-bearing foundation for new driveways that compacts firmly, sheds water, and holds up under vehicle traffic through every season.
  • Patio Foundation: Establish a stable, level base layer beneath patio pavers and flagstone that resists movement and keeps finished surfaces even and structurally sound for years.
  • Walkway Construction: Create firm, well-drained walkway surfaces that compact smoothly underfoot and hold their shape without the shifting or rutting common with looser materials.
  • Shed and Structure Pads: Use as a compacted base layer beneath outbuildings, sheds, and utility structures where a stable, level surface is needed without the cost of a full concrete foundation.
