Actually, we find the earliest real-life version of it in the Bible.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“Now they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ehid\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e 1\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eGod\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e: “Then the LORD God \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ecalled\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e to the man, and said to him, ‘\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWhere are you?\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e’” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e2\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAdam\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e: “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ehid\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e myself.” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e3\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eNow, clearly this wasn’t a lighthearted game being played. Adam and Eve had just eaten the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil—thus rebelling against their Creator. Realizing their nakedness, they sewed together fig leaves in an attempt to cloak their guilt.\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e 4\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThen we see five things happen as a result:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e1. God \u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eseeks\u003c\/b\u003e out Adam.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e2. Adam \u0026amp; Eve hear God approaching.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e3. Adam \u0026amp; Eve \u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ehide\u003c\/b\u003e from the presence of God.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e4. God \u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ecalls\u003c\/b\u003e out to Adam.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e5. Frightened by God’s Voice, Adam gives his reason.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eHere we see the first cosmic aftershocks of sin. Keep in mind, before this tragic event occurs, Adam \u0026amp; Eve enjoyed hearing God’s Voice. They worshiped Him, delighted in Him, and treasured Him as the all-satisfying Portion of their souls. The same Voice that once filled their hearts with gladness \u0026amp; indescribable joy now gripped their hearts with panic \u0026amp; fear. The same Presence they once joyfully confided in was now a place of shame, horror, and regret.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3 data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWho’s to Blame?\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eDid something change in God? No.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eDid something change in Adam \u0026amp; Eve? Absolutely.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAdam and Eve’s deliberate rebellion against God shows us what the very essence of sin is. Cosmic treason!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eNow, how does this relate to you? Everything. All of the pain, brokenness, and misery we experience\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eis ultimately a result of the tragedy in Eden. Even creation groans.\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e 5\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e Need proof?\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3 data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eGlaring Proof\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe ravages of sin are pervasive. Just turn on the news. Deadly diseases, exploding stars, catastrophic tornadoes, high-speed meteorites, brutal murders, severe famines, ground-splitting earthquakes, tragic car wrecks, civil anarchy, mass bloodshed, suffering, and death are glaring proofs that something went HORRIBLY wrong in the garden.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAnd remember, all it took was \u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003ci data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eONE BITE\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e to plunge the entire universe into chaos \u0026amp; ruin!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“God has pronounced judgment upon the whole world because of sin.” ~R.C. Sproul\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis proves that sin is extremely serious. God’s holiness demands that He takes sin seriously. He cursed His creation because of it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eHowever, despite all this, God still \u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eseeks\u003c\/b\u003e to have a relationship with humanity. And just like in the garden of Eden, He calls: \u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“WHERE ARE YOU?”\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3 data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“Where are you?”\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eDear Reader, what about yourself? Have you responded to your Creator’s call? Or are you still living in denial of your rebellion against Him? Perhaps you’re like Adam, hiding from God. If so, here’s what the Bible says.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eYou, like Adam,\u003c\/b\u003e are under the curse of sin.\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e 6\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eYour sin, like Adam’s,\u003c\/b\u003e has left you stark naked. \u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e7\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eYou, like Adam,\u003c\/b\u003e have a corrupted, sinful nature. \u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e8\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eYou, like Adam,\u003c\/b\u003e will physically die.\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e 9\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAnd you, like Adam,\u003c\/b\u003e lie in danger of God’s eternal judgment.\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e 10\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3 data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eBut there’s Good News\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e 11\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.”\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e 12\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e 13\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eO Reader, come out of your \u003cb data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ehiding\u003c\/b\u003e place! Do not conceal your sins any longer. Instead, acknowledge your guilt and dire need of salvation. Come humbly to the foot of the cross and fix your gaze upon the horrific spectacle of Calvary! Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man, came into the world to save sinners! Observe Jesus hanging, bleeding, and dying on the cross to pay the full penalty for sin. Look as He bore the unfathomable load of sin—enough to sink the entire universe! See Him absorbing God’s righteous fury \u0026amp; wrath against sin.
